Uber

As an Art Director at Smartly.io, my main client is Uber. I lead the creative development for Uber’s growth marketing campaigns for each of their verticals: Uber Rider/Driver, Uber Eats, Uber Reserve, etc. Our campaigns are built to scale globally on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.

I oversee each campaign creative from beginning to end. I lead internal team members and external partners in shaping and pitching initial concepts, to creative production, and final delivery.

Below are some campaigns I created in 2023.

Case Study: Uber Eats TikTok Campaign

For this Uber Eats campaign, we leveraged data from previous high-performing ads. As Art Director, I worked with a designer and a motion designer to cast talent, write scripts and copy, build storyboards, and create the video production.

Pre-production

When the initial scripts and concepts are approved, we begin pre-production, which includes putting together a shot list, casting on-camera and voice-over talent, and developing storyboards for our motion designers.

Production

When the video is edited, we create text layers, animations and graphics.


Scaling and Delivering

Most campaigns are to developed for easily scalable for testing and localization. We want to create ads that can be modular and be adjusted based on data. After we deliver the initial campaign, we then create size, language, and messaging variations.


Additional Campaign Examples

While many of my the ads I work on with Uber Eats are UGC-inspired, I also work on ads that use animation/illustration and high-production video assets. Regardless of the channel or medium, I lead the creative work on each step of the process, from initial pitch, to production, to final delivery.
